Tele-Care, 5974 Pentz Road, (530) 877-9361 ext. 7780, is a service of Feather River Hospital, Volunteer Services Department, providing daily reassurance telephone calls to seniors, injured and the handicapped who live alone.
REACHRelief for Energy Assistance through Community Help is a community assistance program administered by the Salvation Army for the elderly, disabled and other low-income people. Call (530) 872-1534 for information.
Legal assistance, is available from various sources, one being the Janet Levy Center in Chico, CSUC Building D, 1st and Ivy. Provides seniors with assistance concerning administration of benefits, housing concerns, landlord tenant disputes, health issues and civil rights. Call 898-5961 or 800-822-0109.
